Transactly is a real estate transaction coordination company providing sales support services to brokers and sales agents in all 50 states.

Transaction coordinators (TCs) manage the paperwork, communications, and scheduling tasks in closing a real estate deal, helping real estate brokers and agents save valuable time and effort.

Transactly is a better-known transaction coordination service provider, but there are hundreds of other online real estate transaction coordination companies to choose from.

Given the abundance of choices, how can a broker or agent select the right provider for their business needs?

To help with your decision-making, we’ve carefully reviewed Transactly’s transaction coordination services and will now share our results.

Let’s get started!

Company Overview – Transactly

transactly

Transactly is a tech-enabled transaction coordinator service that helps brokerages, agents, and teams manage their real estate transactions and close sales more efficiently.

The company offers transaction coordinators and virtual assistant services to manage various aspects of real estate transactions, including the following:

  • Contract and disclosure management
  • Thorough compliance review
  • Ongoing communication with clients, other parties, and vendors
  • Securing the necessary title work
  • Scheduling inspections and sharing the report
  • Tracking the process and keeping it on schedule until closing

Their transaction coordination platform relies on proprietary technology to monitor and process transactions on behalf of agents.

Founded in 2018, the company’s headquarters is in Saint Charles, Missouri, with support offices in California.

As of 2023, the company reported 66 employees, primarily technical and IT workers and transaction coordinators.

Now that we have an overview of the company let’s dive deeper into our review of Transactly’s transaction coordination services.

Pros & Cons Highlights

Here is a high-level overview of the pros and cons of Transactly transaction coordination services to guide the rest of our review.

Pros

  • Transactly receives positive customer testimonials, especially from experienced agents
  • Real estate TC and listing preparation services provided in 50 states
  • Easy-to-use transaction coordination tracking software, which may be downloaded and used individually even after your contract expires
  • Agents don’t pay for per-file services until closing
  • Intuitive, clean, and straightforward website

Cons

  • Transactly subscription transaction coordination prices are on the high-end
  • You need to pay the monthly or quarterly subscription fee even if you don’t have any transactions
  • The company is a bit vague concerning how their transaction coordination services work and what’s included
  • Their pricing overviews contain additional charges for unspecified services

With those highlights, let’s examine Transactly’s services in more detail. First, we’ll explore the company’s pricing.

Pricing

Transactly has multiple pricing plans and options.

Transactly Pricing

First, they offer pay-as-you-go services for $399 per file. However, the pricing includes an additional $150 per file for other transaction services. Unfortunately, it’s not clear what these other services entail.

If you can guarantee 1 transaction a month, the price is $379, and the other transaction services would be $143.50.

The company’s second set of pricing is for its Power Agent Plans.

  • The yearly plan costs $339 monthly ($4,068 annually) and allows up to 12 transactions.
  • A monthly version is paid quarterly at $1077 per quarter and allows 3 transactions a quarter.

Custom quotes and brokerage-wide solutions are also available.

Transactly also allows you to hire a dedicated transaction coordinator. You must contact the company directly to arrange services and learn about pricing.

The company does not offer any real estate marketing services.

Next, let’s look at the company’s experience and skill sets.

Years in the Business

Transactly was founded in 2018, meaning they’ve been in business for over 6 years.

Transactly’s website does not offer professional bios of team members or leadership, so it isn’t easy to gauge the experience levels of its transaction coordinator staff. It also does not indicate how many TCs it has on the team.

Given that Transactly’s customer reviews are overwhelmingly positive, it’s likely safe to assume that their transaction coordinator staff are capable and experienced.

Up next, let’s look at Transactly’s service area coverage.

Service Area Coverage

Transactly offers transaction coordinator services in all 50 states.

What’s not clear is whether their in-house staff handles most transactions or if they work with contracted or freelance TCs within various states. The website discusses their network and team, so it’s hard to know.

It appears that they rely on freelance transaction coordinators in multiple states. Therefore, it will be challenging to know the level of training and industry experience of those TCs.

When the issue of freelance transaction coordinators is raised, it immediately prompts the question of what exactly you need Transactly for and why you are paying them an upcharge to work with a freelancer.

In such cases, you might be better off hiring a freelance transaction coordinator in your local area.

Next, let’s examine Transactly’s ordering process for transaction coordination services.

Ordering Process

Transactly relies on its proprietary integrated transaction coordinator software.

Unfortunately, you cannot see the software platform on their website. However, they provide free demonstrations that an agent or brokerage can schedule.

Transactly Ordering Process

A unique feature of Transactly is that it is known for being generous with its software program. Agents and brokerages that sign up with Transactly may continue to use the software system for free after their subscription plan expires.

The software is also offered to freelance transaction coordinators at low prices, and TCs willing to join the Transactly network may utilize the software for little to no charge.

While I have not had first-hand experience with Transactly’s transaction coordination software, I know two local sales agents who have tried it. They both had positive experiences and found the program easy to use.

Moving on in our review, let’s examine Transactly’s web platform and customer support options.

Customer Support

Transactly’s website is straightforward to use and navigate. This is refreshing since many other transaction coordination company’s sites are cluttered and hard to use.

The site offers a free customer support chat feature. However, there are no telephone numbers or emails. I believe you need to create an account before those options are available.

The support chat feature is acceptable. However, having a general company email where one can reach out with more detailed questions seems to be a fundamental and expected customer support option. The lack of an email or other contact information strikes me as unwise.

The website does mention that Transactly TCs work regular business hours and may not be available on weekends or after 5:00 p.m. This leaves me wondering if their customer support keeps the same limited hours.

Additional Benefits & Services

Transactly real estate transaction coordinator services

In addition to real estate transaction coordinator services, Transactly also engages the following:

  • Transactly Connect – the ability to leverage a trusted nationwide network of title search, mortgage, inspection, legal, and moving services
  • Transactly virtual assistants – the ability to hire a well-trained real estate assistant who can help with marketing, lead generation, and other administrative functions

As mentioned earlier, Transactly does not offer real estate marketing services.

Okay, let’s take a look at the results of our review so far.

Pros & Cons Summary

As we summarize our review, Transactly seems to be a capable and popular transaction coordination option at first glance.

The company operates nationwide in all 50 states, and its customer reviews are also mostly positive.

In addition to transaction coordination, they offer a professional network of real estate vendors and the ability to hire virtual real estate assistants.

A few positives stand out right from the start. First, brokers and agents can use their per-file transaction coordination services, where you don’t pay until closing. This is a definite advantage for smaller brokerages and agents with fewer transactions.

Second, Transactly allows customers to use its software program and download it for future use even after the client’s service contract ends.

Third, if you read through the part of their website inviting independent transaction coordinators to join the Transactly network, their offerings and partnership options appear attractive.

Finally, agents can hire a dedicated transaction coordinator through Transactly.

In terms of concerns or negative aspects, the following items stand out.

First, the company limits the working hours for its transaction coordinators. Transactly staff work a standard 9-5, 5 days a week.

As someone in the real estate profession for more than 11 years, I know that a lot of business activity happens in the evenings. While I don’t expect a transaction coordinator to be available. 24-7, Transactly’s work hours seem limiting.

I should note that the company promises a 24-hour turnaround on all communications.

A second concern is the lack of up-front detail on Transactly’s specific transaction coordination services. Their pricing hints at add-on charges for other TC services. This might mean that their standard TC services are somewhat limited.

Also, it’s offputting to be required to create an account and provide contact information before you can learn more about specific services. If I don’t like what I learn, I assume I’ll continue to receive abundant, unwanted marketing emails and messages.

All right, let’s wrap up our review and answer the question of whether Transactly transaction coordination services are worth using.

Our Verdict – Is Transactly Worth It?

Our Verdict - Is Transactly Worth It?

Based on our review, Transactly is a company worth trying for real estate transaction coordination and related services.

Transactly’s transaction coordination software, like the company, gets positive reviews.

However, let me add one possible drawback. Transactly’s pricing structure isn’t ideal for larger brokerages or agents who do high-volume sales. They offer custom service options but don’t offer details.

Further, Transactly’s prices are somewhat high. Yes, I’ve seen higher prices at different transaction coordinator companies. However, some TC providers offer the same or better service at lower prices.

Let me share one of those companies with you right now.
